What we analyze

Self-reference patterns

How often you use "I", "me", "my", and "myself" relative to other words. High self-reference rates often correlate with self-centered communication styles.

Promotional behavior

Detecting phrases like "check out", "subscribe", "follow me", and other self-promotional language that signals ego-driven posting habits.

Idea sharing vs. broadcasting

Do you share perspectives, research, and insights — or mostly broadcast your own opinions? We measure the balance between intellectual curiosity and ego.

AI-powered diagnosis

Our AI reads your actual posts and comments, not just the numbers. It picks up on tone, recurring themes, and writing style to deliver a personalized ego diagnosis.

Frequently asked questions

Is this actually accurate?

Egogor combines statistical text analysis with AI interpretation. The ego score is based on measurable patterns in your writing — self-reference frequency, promotional language, and idea-sharing behavior. The AI diagnosis adds context by reading your actual posts.

Does this work with private profiles?

No. Egogor can only analyze publicly available Reddit posts and comments. If a profile is set to private or has no recent activity, the analysis will not be possible.

What does the ego score mean?

Scores range from 1 to 100. Under 45 means you are relatively balanced. Between 45 and 70 suggests moderate self-focus. Above 70 indicates strong ego-driven communication patterns. Everyone scores at least 30 — some ego is perfectly normal.
